Sexual sin is a doorway to demons

"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually sins against their own body" -1 Cor 6:18

As Christians, we are called to lead a life of sexual purity, but for many people they have succumbed to the temptation of it and fallen into sexual sin. Sexual sin is significant, and continually giving in to it can lead to serious spiritual repercussions. Through my experiences in counseling, deliverance ministry, and my own deliverance, I have witnessed how demons can influence individuals involved in sexual sin.

When people come for deliverance, it’s not uncommon for them to have have lived a promiscuous life, be involved in heavy pornography use, and have experienced sexual traumas (molestations, rapes, etc).

One of the main ways sexual sin comes into a person's life is generationally. When sexual sin is not addressed, repented of, and cleansed in a bloodline it will release generational iniquity to ancestors. Iniquity is how sin transmits in the DNA and it will create a magnet towards sexual sin in a person which can start even at a young age. This iniquity usually coupled with sexual trauma will release people in to deep sexual sin, which brings destruction to their life.

When people continue to give into sexual sin, it will invite demonic spirits of lust, sexual perversion, sexual fantasies, impurity, and masturbation as these are common spirits which get inside a person that drive sexual sin. These spirits when inside, will release demonic energy which drives compulsive thoughts and corresponding desires that a person cannot resist long term. Demons are masters at stealth missions and they make people think these thoughts and desires are just the persons thoughts and desires.

Ex. A person bound by pornography usually has spirits of lust, sexual fantasies, and perversion that creates desires for unclean sexual acts. These demons releases images in their mind and then a spirit of masturbation pushes them so they get a release from the extreme temptation that’s going on inside of them. People will hate what they’re doing, but they can’t stop because it’s not them but demons inside of them pushing them compulsively.

I am speaking from experience on these matters as I had a radical deliverance in 2009 from sexual spirits when many demons left my body screaming as my body convulsed and I fell to the floor. I was completely set free at that moment after decades of struggle with sexual sin and pornography. I was born again, water baptized, and filled with the Holy Spirit when I went through this deliverance. Deliverance is for Christians meaning God wants to set His people free from whatever enslaves them.

Many pastors and Christian leaders have lived a promiscuous life and/or experienced sexual trauma early in life before they got saved and if they have not gone through deliverance these demons will entice them and push them into sexual sin in their Christian life which is why many leaders succumb to secret sexual sin and pornography use. This is especially common with people from recovery backgrounds who eventually go into public ministry. Some will say its just the flesh but when a demon(s) is present it will energize the flesh which makes it hard to resist long term similar to someone with a drug or alcohol addiction.

So many people regardless of background are bound by demons that have come in through either generational iniquity, being sinned against which creates sexual trauma, or their own sexual sin that opened a door to demonic spirits. Many times these people struggle in silence and feel there is no hope for them to break free from the sexual bondage that they are bound in. There is a solution to the bondage of sexual sin and His name is Jesus. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever and He can set captives free!
